NO DOGS will be allowed in camp. Early arrival for camping is ok. There are sites inside the meadow behind the log separating resort campsites & meadow. They will also have water connections. The meadow has no trees and is best for corrals. Note: If you want to arrive before August 20th, please be sure to coordinate sites & dates with me before you contact the resort to reserve dates so that you won’t have to move as numbered resort sites have already been reserved. Please give horses a chance to acclimate, as colic is the most noticeable condition during early days of ride. Please bring your own hay to feed. DIRECTIONSPlasse’s Resort at SILVER LAKE is situated just off Hwy 88, approximately 100 miles from Stockton and approximately 40 miles from Gardnerville, Nevada. From Hwy 99 take Hwy 88 east thru Clements. In Jackson, turn left toward Pinegrove and Cook’s Station at stop sign where Hwy 49 and Hwy 88 meet. Campground is reached by taking right turn at Plasse’s Resort turn-off as you descend the mountain. The resort is also reached by taking Sly Park turn-off of Hwy 50 to Morman-Emigrant Trail to Hwy 88.
