If you travel deep into the back country of the
High Sierra, you might find artist Mark Gudmundsen scrambling up some rugged
peak or rock face to obtain a new perspective view, or sitting along an
obscure stream studying the flora and rock structure. You may find him
absorbing a famous landmark view in one of America's National Parks, or
painting in what he calls his studio, (actually the elegant lobby of Tenaya
Lodge at Yosemite). There he paints most of his paintings in public
before an ensemble of lodge guests intrigued by the skill of his brush. |
