My Family: Is what you would call an extended family of sorts. I have a son and two daughters from a previous marriage and my wife Jo Ann has a son and daughter from her marriage. To see our family click here.

More about me:
I am a retired patrol sergeant from the Merced County Sheriff's department. I spent fifteen years working my way through the ranks and almost every division in the department. Politics and health put me out to pasture. Any of you who are or have been in law enforcement know what I mean about politics and job stress.
More Things: I really dislike people who lie ( politicians ) or anyone I have come to trust. Most important in my life is family and my friends. I am blessed because I have many very close and good friends. I hate going to bed at night and hate getting up early in the morning. Living in the mountains helps though. There is not a lot that bothers me anymore since moving to the mountains and retiring from law enforcement.
I like being with my family and friends. Informal get togethers, dinners, barbecues or just hanging out. The smell of the pine trees in the morning, sitting on the deck watching the sun set. I like that I have the time now to enjoy the simple things in life that most people take for granted or worse, don't know they are there. The saying: " Take time to smell the roses " isn't just a saying.
