The Mariposa County District Attorney’s Office, in cooperation with the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office, has formed the Mariposa County Family Violence Response Team (MCFVRT). The MCFVRT is a vertical investigatory and prosecution unit developed to handle all reports of family domestic violence. The MCFVRT consists of a Deputy District Attorney, Deputy Sheriff and Victim Advocate. This special unit is funded by a Federal Grant to encourage arrest policies in domestic violence incidents.

Our goal is to stop domestic violence. The MCFVRT will work to ensure victim safety and provide a neutral location to meet with members of the MCFVRT for interviews, court support, counseling referrals and other services that victims of domestic violence are eligible to receive under State Law through the Mariposa County District Attorney’s Victim Witness Program.
