Hello Larry and Paul,
After being more equipped with digital camera gigs and some (a lot of ) training, I finally am able to print some pictures onto the net.The construction of my tail took more time than expected, as the engineering work was done by a very busy man. The Swiss Federal Air Office looked into this "master change of construction" and a static test with 1540 lbs (700 Kg) at 55 degress centigrade in a painter's booth with the stabilo mounted on its brackings was done successfully.
The advantage is more flexibility regarding workspace, transportation and also some change the incidence angle (if necessary) of the horizontal stabilizer would be just a change of the rear mounting bracket, and some filing/filling of the access covers.
I also sent a copy of this e-mail to jerico, but as Larry Olson has all the necessary drawings to change the inside of the vertical stabilizer and as he eventually plans this as an option, please do not start to modify your stabilo without the drawings! Loosing a tail is always a serious story.
Happy New Year and lots of energy to get these birds flying!
Best regards, Werner Magg (Switzerland)
