Installation of the aileron hinges  

   Please see the attached photos showing the method of installing the aileron hinge "pockets" that allow easy installation and removal of the hinges.

    Rather than rivet the hinges to the surfaces, you can create a "pocket" into which the hinges can be fastened with nut plates and screws on both the wing and the control surfaces.

The advantages are:
    Removal for painting the surfaces which means a cleaner paint job.  
    Easy replacement of the hinges when wear requires replacement.
