Here it is. . . page 2 of truck mods and spiffies.
Just got done installing some of Marlin's drain plugs in my truck's diffs, tranny, and t-case. Way easier to work with than stock ones. While doing the front diff, I found out that my axle seals are toast again. . . Picked up the seals and gaskets from Toyota, they aren't actually that expensive. seeing as how I had the seals done about two years ago, I am just going to change the ones from the spindle out, and of course the inner axle seal.
I finally finished installing my polyurethane spring and hanger bushings. I think it cost me about $40 for the set at 4WPW. I tell you what though. Forget that goober lube they give ya in the set. Just buy a can of anti-sieze and go postal on'em. It's a lot easier to get'em in thataway.
Ah, yes, inner axle seals. . . Well, I got them done, finally. All I have to say is get all your parts before you start. I thought I had, but I was wrong. At the same time, seeing as how I was taking the brakes off at the same time, I decided to replace the 15 year old parts while I was at it. So I replaced the rotors with '83 Cruiser rotors, and installed '86 or later calipers. Now I have vented rotors up front. Take a look -->.
Decided I am going to take the Flex-a-lite electric fan off. . . it doesn't have the cahones to cool the truck (220 degrees??) under load. So back to the stock clutch and fan.
