Conclusion

The Apollo Missions were a result of a series of space programs (like Project Mercury and Project Gemini) created to help the United States stay ahead in the Space Race (The struggle for technological supremacy in space exploration between the United States and the USSR during the Cold War period). One of the reasons for the space program being developed in the first place was its uses for data collection for science purposes, to calm the nation-wide panic caused from the operational space programs the USSR had developed (The Sputnik Satellites), and its uses to develop future projects in space (for exploration or military purposes). As the Apollo Missions became more developed, the U.S. people and government became more confident in the abilities of NASA and its technological supremacy displayed during the Space Race.
The Apollo Missions became a frontier as it developed over time because so much was learned from the Apollo Missions and they had grand affect on the world. During the era of the Apollo Missions, new technology specially made for the Apollo Missions were developed at the time also for future missions in space. Creations such as the Lunar Module, Command Module, and the Saturn V rocket taught NASA many things about launching large vessels into space and techniques for life support in space. Technology gained from the Apollo Missions was inevitably used in future operations. The Apollo Missions have also of given scientists loads of information about the moon, its orbit, and the rocks and soil on the moon. NASA became very developed during the Apollo Missions and showed this supremacy to manipulate space to the other countries (mostly Russia), especially when it landed people on the moon. The Apollo Missions is one of the greatest frontiers in exploring the greatest frontier of all, space.
