AMONGST handcrafting Artists and Connoisseurs of these skilled Masters, THE PURPLE COW has gained recognition from Guests the World over, as an outstanding Award Winning Shop filled with wonderful and delightful treasures.  Country and Victorian settings designed around seasonal themes make pleasing temporary homes for the Gifts and Home Decorating Accents that fill this heart warming shop so close to Yosemite.

 

FALL brings a wonderful change in the weather.  Delightful Full colors, corn stalks, pumpkins, and scarecrows all adorn this shop three weeks or so before the Labor Day Weekend.

 

WINTER arrives the 1st of November when Christmas Decorations Extraordinaire turn THE PURPLE COW into a Christmas Fantasy.  THE PURPLE COW’S Grand Christmas Open House is always the weekend after Thanksgiving Day.   It’s a Weekend so colorful;  It’s a Mountain Holiday Tradition!  Come joins us for hot spiced cider, and homemade cookies.

 

OUR FAMILY of twenty five artists invites you to browse, laugh, shop and enjoy the fine handcrafted treasures to be found in every nook and cranny of one of the few remaining historic buildings in Oakhurst.

To Make A Purple Cow Shake:   One tall glass, 3/4 cup milk, 1 1/2 tbsp frozen concentrated grape juice, 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt or Ice Cream;
Measure the milk, frozen grape juice and yogurt/ice cream into a blender or container with a tight lid. Blend or shake until everything is mixed and foamy.

Pour it into the tall glass. Get a purple milk mustache! Enjoy!
