Charles "Chuck" Stuhr 1. California Building Contractor "B" License #342911, since 9/77. 2. BA and MA, CSUF, Industrial Arts, emphasis in Architectural Drafting. 3. Lifetime California Secondary Teaching Credential. Building Experience Began in Fresno in 1963. Masters' thesis project was a home built and shown in 1970. Purchased 40 acres and moved to Coarsegold in 1977, after several years building for others in the mountains and building our own home here. Developed home and office including decks, patios, pools, aviary, greenhouse, and over 4900 sq. ft. which served to conduct business and show to clients. Also over 4300 sq. ft. of storage and equipment parking was built. Mid 1994 completed model home and office building on Hiway 41 in Coarsegold to display the many options available in our one-of-a-kind plans. Developed site and built "Golden Pond Senior Apartments" in Oakhurst in 1985. Currently own and manage. Specialty is heavy construction with open beams and wood ceilings. Much consideration is given to energy conservation through insulation and orientation to site. Emphasis is placed on homes looking like they belong in the mountains. Recently developed lots in Coarsegold (Rocky Ridge Estates) and are in the process of building out as time permits. During the past 30 years we have built scores of homes, all individually designed and suited to their site and the life style of their owners. Management Joyce creates the designs, draws the plans, and interfaces with the proper agencies to acquire permits and aid the client with financing. Chuck personally works and supervises all work on the site with the help of his long time employed crew. To maintain a high level of quality few subcontractors are used. The design process incorporates your ideas into a plan that will express your own style of living and your personal tastes. Rustic Design Homes have efficient floor plans, low maintenance, and emphasize energy conservation. Materials are purchased from dependable local dealers. Our references include these businesses. Financial Stability and Community Involvement Since 1976 financial investments in this community include home/office complex, senior apartments, Rocky Ridge Estates, model/office complex, several commercial parcels and a number of residential parcels. Credit reports from our suppliers are excellent. We are involved in many activities of the community. Joyce is active in Rotary and Chuck is active in Elks. Both are active in the Chamber of Commerce.
